Feral Poplar Body Oil
2 oz glass dropper bottle
Poplar, also known as Balm of Gilead or cottonwood, there are many variants, is a part of the willow family (Salicaceae family). This magical tree is antimicrobial, helps inflamation, has antioxidants, is anti-rheumatic, & so much more. As an oil, it is great for sore/achy joints & muscles, skin hydration & elasticity. I infused a local sunflower oil with poplar buds that I feral-harvested. This oil is unscented, but naturally carries the heady, exotic scent of poplar with notes of warm vanilla, musk, & honey.
Poplar is a great tree ally for shadow work, witchcraft, ritual/spirit work, & connecting one to their emotions. Poplar is a liminal tree rooted in the watery depths of the underworld with gnarled, swaying branches reaching to the cosmos.
Taking care of your skin is just one step to rewilding yourself. It’s a gentle way to incorporate an ancient, holistic ritual into your life & return to your feral nature by ditching all the endocrine disrupting creams/oils/lotions.
Safe for pregnant/nursing women & babies.
